Coretta Scott King Book Award
Tomorrow is Martin Luther King Day in the United States. The Corretta Scott King Book Award was designed to commemorate the life of Martin Luther King Jr. and to honor Mrs. Corretta Scott King for her determination to continue his work. Mrs. King died in January of last year.
The award is given to African American authors and illustrator for outstanding inspirational and educational contributions.
